NEW: Site privacy enhancement

Hi friends,

I've implemented privacy enhancements to the site. As of today all communications with the forum will be encrypted using a technology just like your online bank uses.

Why is this important?
It is important to us that you can read what you want to read, and write what you want to write, knowing that others cannot see what you've been looking at or writing about (like your employer, or a stranger when using a public wifi hotspot).

How do I know that my communication is safe?
Simplified explanation: Look at the address bar in your browser. Does the address begin with https? If it does, then it is safe (some browsers show a picture of a lock i.s.o. https).

Carry on... browsing and writing... in privacy ;)
Peter

EDIT June 3rd: This privacy enhancement has also been implemented for the main site now.

A level of technical knowledge beyond my wee brain.

Thanks, Peter. I'm glad we employed you. ;)

They don't call him The Flying Dutchman for nothing. He is to technology what Johan Cruyff was to the football. I rest my case, your honour.
