Hi folks.
Some excellent news.
Jon Kabat-Zinn and his wife Myla have agreed to do an interview with Everyday Mindfulness to promote their new book on mindful parenting.
This is great news for us. Jon rarely grants interviews so it speaks volumes about this site that he has decided to talk to us.
I should get news soon about when my interview with them will happen. I'll keep you all informed.
Best wishes,
Jon, Hove

I am so excited about this news! Doesn't seem 5 minutes since I made the first post here and we have such a warm and open community. I am looking forward to hearing from Jon and Myla and also to read their book. Being a mindful parent and finding a way to share this with my children, lead by example etc is something I am eager to learn more about.

I still don't think it's quite sunk in yet; JKZ was the reason I began meditating. I read Wherever You Go, There You Are because I didn't know how to meditate and somebody had recommended it to me. I remember reading the book, and thinking that it all made so much sense. I started to meditate and the rest is history.
Mindfulness could have been designed for parenting, and ironically. the people we are trying to parent are paragons of mindfulness themselves, at least in their early years.

That's interesting, I didn't realise they were writing another book on mindful parenting. I enjoyed their last one, so I'll look forward to reading the new one.

I think it's an update of the first book, not a brand new book.
