Hi there,
I've recently connected with you on Twitter, and I just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Gareth. Mindfulness meditation changed my life completely. I was diagnosed with MS a few years ago, which was extremely stressful, so I turned to meditation for stress relief. Mindfulness has given me my life back and so much more. Here is a blog I wrote six months ago about mindfulness and MS: http://www.everyday-mindfulness.org/?p=146
A while back, I started putting together a website about mindfulness to tell others how much it had helped me, and I started a Twitter account to go with it. I started tweeting my daily observations of mindfulness and how it helped me, these were phenomenally popular, and I have a really big following already. I then decided to add a forum to the site which is beginning to grow too. I also have a regular blog where ordinary people can publish their own mindfulness stories. The site and forum are in the middle of a redesign, and I have really high hopes for them in the future. There are several people in the forum all contributing to this 'project,' although we don't like to call it that because that implies trying to get somewhere which doesn't sit too well with the ideals of mindfulness.
I'd really like to get some promotion for what we are trying to do, especially for the forum because I've not seen anything else like this around. I passionately believe that this can be something that could really help many people. Your magazine would be a wonderful avenue to help us if you would be so kind as to let us publish something in there.
Yours sincerely,
Gareth (and the rest of the Everyday Mindfulness forum members)

I connected with Mindful Magazine yesterday on Twitter and got a contact from there. I sent them the following message yesterday. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I'll add some crossed digits to that too!
I'd just like to say that I have looked for something like this in the past and was amazed that there was a void. I am pleased you have made a move to fill that void! I have seen other internet forums about meditation in general, but often I would find that the people on there were lightyears ahead of me and really couldn't connect with them or appreciate what they were saying. It seems like here it's just a group of normal people at varying levels of practice and I think that's really great.
Thank you very much for offering this service!

God himself culminates in the present moment, and will never be more divine in the lapse of all the ages - Henry David Thoreau, Walden: or, Life in the Woods
Fingers crossed here too
“Being mindful means that we take in the present moment as it is rather than as we would like it to be.”
