Just wanted to post and say hi to everyone.
I first heard about Mindfulness from Gareth on Twitter, and then later by listening to Paul O'Mahony's series of audioboos describing his experience as he embarks on a mindfulness training course (http://audioboo.fm/omaniblog) - and I have decided to give it a go.
I have got an audiobook, Mindfulness: The Eight Week Meditation Programme for a Frantic World (by Prof Mark Williams), recommended by Nick Holloway, which I am using as a starting point.
Hopefully starting tomorrow!

Hi Phil.
Truly fantastic for you to be here. Over the past couple of years, Phil has been an inspiration to me. He has also helped guide me into my beginner attempts with web development. I class Phil as a friend, even though we have never actually spoke to each other.
I truly hope that mindfulness gives you as much as it has given me. Once you get to grips with the practice, it's very simple and easy to fit into your day. You just need a little faith and perserverance at the beginning, as the benefits won't be instant, and the practice will probably seem quite alien to you at first.
I am going to work on another couple of sites to improve my CSS skills (I am hitting brick walls at the moment,) and then I am going to redesign Everyday Mindfulness into something a bit fluffier. I am then going to get some legitimate work done on this forum to tie it into the main site. The good thing is that mindfulness also supercharges your concentration which will help me get these things done. Keep us updated on your progress.

I've just enabled smilies on the forum. I must have been in a serious mood when I turned them off. This is a test:
