Everyday Mindfulness

I sometimes write motivational poems which some people may enjoy or find helpful. Please feel free to let me know what you think or even share your own if you're poetically-minded.

Be the light in someone's life.
Allow yourself to shine bright.
Keep yourself as sharp as a knife.
Always do what you think is right.

Hold on tight to your dreams.
Try your best to make them come true.
I hope the sun on them beams.
I hope they all come true for you.

We must have a dream to follow.
We must have joy as well as sorrow.
We must have friends as well as foes.
We must have highs as well as lows.

This isn't exactly my style but I write the odd piece of blank verse for people who don't like rhyme.

Follow your dreams.
Do what you
want to do.
Do what your
heart desires. Make
a wish &
hope it comes
true. Live the
life of your
dreams.

When you hit rock bottom there's only 1 way to go.
You can't always feel so low.
There's always a way out no matter how things seem.
You can always have & follow a dream.
In dreams you can be who & what you want to be.
In dreams you are always free.

Dry your eyes.
Toughen up.
No more cries.
Fill your cup.

No more tears.
Cheer up.
No more fears.
Have a sup.

Listen to music.
Read a book.
You won't always have
Such bad luck.

Watch a comedy.
Tell a joke.
Have a cuppa.
Talk to folk.

Go shopping.
Go for a walk.
Watch birds.
Have a talk.

Meet friends & have a coffee.
Go out for a meal.
Enjoy nature.
This affects how you feel.

I know I should have added meditate to this poem.

Stop! Stop! Stop!
Trying to fit in.
People shouldn't be labelled
or put neatly into boxes.

Everyone's different
& no one should be
judged as no one
knows what anyone

Else has been through.
We can't walk in
Someone else's shoes
& go along their path.

So please be kind.
