Unplugging

I am going away for a week in Scotland with my family, and I have decided to make it a week of unplugging from the internet. I do think that it will be good for me.
Life is pretty frantic as usual for me, and I'm feeling a little bit frazzled at the edges. I'll see you all back here in a week or so...

Very good of you to notice, and to take action.
Have a great week, Gareth!

When I was traveling around Britain and Ireland, I never had connection with the outer world since I'd kept my German card. Since then I'm always doing it in Germany as well when I'm out of the house. For me, it has become an important aspect and quite a revelation and liberalization.
Take care, enjoy the Haggis and the amazing landscapes...

Have a great time, I think that unplugging will allow you to rest and relax more fully. Go have some fun.

I feel thoroughly recharged after a week not looking at the internet even once.
Now back to reality.

Welcome back.
Living in a tent, as I'm now doing, and relying entirely on solar energy to power up my various devices has definitely altered the way I look at technology. Now, if there's no sun, my phone, iPad etc. just lie there like the last chickens in Sainsbury's. I'm not taking electricity or the sun for granted ever again. No sirree bop.
