I am trying to stay mindful about this, but I don't really know how.
I'll most likely be without a job next week and therefore unable to pay my rent and bills. My mom is annoying me with questions regarding jobs as if I knew how to answer all of her questions. She's also sad about the situation which in turn saddens me. My mind starts telling me stories about the past and the future and I can't seem to find a way out.
I swear I sometimes just want to move into a cave and stay there forever. The life I'm living is too distracting for my well being.
So how should I go about the whole thing?
Today I'm sad.
Hi ich,
Try to keep grounding yourself. Do some guided meditations (body scan). Follow the breath, listen to sound, music. Go for a walk, watch the birds and the clouds, color a mandala. Each time you catch yourself thinking, see what's about, let it go, and ground yourself again. Don't believe the scenarios that your mind (ego) is creating. It likes to generate worst case scenarios: You might not lose your job; is it already a fact? If not, don't worry until you know for sure. And even then. If you would be without a job, how bad would that be for sure? You might soon find another job, which you like better. Even if you'd never find a job; you probably find out that you'd still survive and enjoyed the freedom. Don't worry about what ifs. Deal with the problem when it arrives. It is bound to be a lot less bad then the idea of it. For now, as I always say, surrender to what is and comes that is beyond your control (for now).
Good luck!
Peter

I'd like to add one more thing: It is okay to feel sad! You can just accept that you feel sad today. Give yourself that gift!
