Hello!

I'm currently studying a degree in Illustration, for an end of degree project I'm looking to create illustrated patterns to encourage mindfulness. I would be ever so grateful for your thoughts on what symbols and imagery encourages mindfulness for you? This can be specific objects or even just shapes. Thank you in advance!

Hi Stephanie,
Sounds interesting.
I have a symbol in mind but I'm not sure how to post it on here.
If you pm me with your email address, I'll send it that way.
All best wishes,
Jon

Hello Stephanie :)

What an interesting project. Whilst reading your post my mind presented a mandala (I do very much like those). Also, I think of anything Eastern, like those gorgeous temples and the Buddha. I also think about the Zen pebbles and swirls that are created mindfully in the soil (you know, the circles). Bonsai tree. Sky. Water (a stream with a gentle waterfall). The image of a person sat in crossed legged pose.

As regards patterns, I like swirling blues and yellow. Clouds on a pastel blue sky. Circles. Leafs. Birds. Eastern textiles (really like those).

:D
