Everyday Mindfulness Meet-Up 2014

Hello folks.
This site is flourishing and we've got a good, supportive community growing here, thanks mostly to Gareth and Fee.
I'm boldly suggesting that we have a meet-up weekend sometime in 2014 so we can get to know each other in person. Plucking a venue randomly out of thin air, I'm nominating Brighton, East Sussex. No particular reason. Brighton just has a ring about it and I've always longed to visit. I've heard it's a very lovely and very mindful place.
All further thoughts most welcome.
Cheers,
Jon, Hove

Flipping cheeky southerner.
I don't know about Gareth but I hear South Yorkshire is lovely at this time of year.... certainly less WINDY than I hear it is in Brighton....

Actually this is a great idea, if we can get an idea of who is interested and where they are located then we can figure out the most central place to meet up. Also what would attendees want to get out of meeting up? Where would people feel comfortable? A pub or hiring out a room somewhere for example?

Sorry folks, I missed this topic somehow. Pesky busy life.

I have a meeting arranged with Danny Penman in the new year which is a really exciting prospect for the site. Funnily enough, he has suggested Brighton as he has friends there. I have friends there too. And while I don't have a problem with Brighton in principle, the logistics could be difficult (and expensive) as it's so bloody far away. I'd love for other members of the 'EM team' to come along too, but it's a very big ask I know.

Other meetings are a good idea too. I'm not sure that we have got quite enough bodies yet to make this something that is worthwhile, but it's definitely one for the future.
