Hi, I am glad to be a part of this forum. I am married, have two kids, and my husband is staying far away as a part of his work. I have a very busy schedule. I think that I have forgotten to find time for myself during the busy schedule. I work nine hours at the office. It is a long stretch job, sitting in front of the system for long hours. I rarely take any break, except during lunchtime. After that, I return to home and gets engaged in looking after my kids. I have noticed that I have severe muscle pain during these days. I have tried using several ointments, but that didn't work. I have heard about relaxation massage therapy from a friend of mine in Toronto. She had that massage from Physiomobility - Don Mills at Toronto. She is telling that this pain is caused due to the increased stress, and this treatment could help me to relax, and to remove the pain. Has anyone of you had this treatment before? What are the techniques you employ in order to reduce stress?

Hi Lovycrop,

Do you already practice mindfulness?

Mindfulness has greatly reduced my stress levels by changing my relationship with thought processes.

Firstly, you need to make time for breaks at work. Even if its just for few minutes, try to get outside for some fresh air or a brief walk. Maybe look online for some ideas how you can manage your work day to help reduce stress.

Do you have other family members close by who could maybe pop round now and again to give you a break from the kids? We all need that as well.

Also exercise and sleep are important for controlling stress. The exercise doesn't have to be hard, a nice walk for half hour or so is perfect.

Try and make some time for yourself !!

Cheers, Dave.

Hi lovycrop,
In my opinion, Meditation is the best way to reduce stress. Also do some exercise and take some break in between your working hours.
Thanks!!
