Hi, just wondering if anyone is able to shed some light on my experience please?
I suffer with anxiety and have been practising mindfullness for about 2 years. It has helped a lot as it was very severe. I have noticed when I finished my formal practice I get a lump in my throat almost like a ball of enegry which is stuck. I also notice that all my anxious thoughts are in my throat too. Almost like hearing my ego in my throat. I have tried chanting to maybe release the energy as I have read it could be my throat chakra. I did this today and I felt very emotional after and my teeth started chattering. Is there any other advice on how I can either realise this energy or practice differently so this doesn't get stuck in the first place. I was thinking maybe is could be down to my posture or maybe where my tongue is placed (it's the hard pallet at the top) during practice? Or any other ideas please?

I have anxiety as well and I have noticed that I kept a lot of tension in my throat and jaw. Now I often tend to watch my breathing in this area and it has helped me relieve a lot of the tension there. Just a suggestion that has helped me out.

And I’m not sure I would try to get rid of that feeling but rather try to be observe it and be okay with the feeling being there.
