Meditation Album

Dear all,

I've created an album of guided meditations based on the key concepts of MBSR and MBCT courses. I wanted to make something that people could use to keep their practice alive after finishing an either week mindfulness course. Some of the tracks have background music and some don't.

Most of the meditations are available to listen to for free on the Insight Timer App but you can also buy my album here:

https://www.amazon.com/Revive-Awaken-An ... and+awaken

I also have a new album out 25th June. It's called Everyday Meditation and is aimed as busy people. The meditations are a lot shorter and a so a bit easier to fit into a working week.

Go well

Ding!

Andy

Thanks Andy,
I look forward to investigating this.
In the meantime, maybe you'd be interested in writing a blog for us about mindfulness and music?
Best wishes,
Jon

Music is the cornerstone of my mindfulness practice. I regularly do a long sitting meditation where I put an album on in headphones and just listen to the album from start to finish, bringing my mind back whenever it wanders off.

I'm listening to music for large parts of the day, so whenever there is a spare few minutes coming up, I meditate on the hop, and really pay attention to the next track that's coming up.

The awareness of sound is a great mindfulness practice. It's the core practise in my commuting meditation on the new album too. Music is also incredibly therapeutic too of course.

It's a real shame that a lot of guided meditation publishers use cheap stock background music.

When they could be using Sigur Rós instead...
