well the course is 5 weeks...

But I guess it is a start.
I begin on the 20th of this month, but have been using mindfulness as much as I could to get through a really tough 8 weeks of an acute depression with the new feature of generalized anxiety for the first time in my adult life. Second major episode in 3 years...so I have to change something. Yes I'm on meds and (kind of) accepting this will be long term. I'm also now at the point of finding a therapist to do a time limited (well money limited) course of interpersonal therapy.
I'm a classic human doing, rather than being particularly comfortable just being. On top of the tendency to act rather than be, I've ended up with a very uncertain and transitory lifestyle at the moment where I'm not in that much control...so going off the deep end was kind of on the cards.
What I'm figuring is I will probably use this place for accountability for practice during and probably after the course.

Urgh, got bumped off the course because I'm staff.
Back to the drawing board.

That's a shame. Are there any other courses coming up in your area?
All best,
Jon

Will ask the psychotherapist I'm meeting tomorrow to see if she recommends anyone.
I'm in a small city pretty much one degree of separations between people in professional circles. One of the options if she has no idea will need careful sounding out as I've referred to his men's group and I don't want to lose that professional link as there are very few resources for men specifically
