Apologies if this topic has been raised already...didn't see it when I searched the forum: Mark Williams' and colleagues' book Mindful Way Through Depression is teeming with insights, valuable analogies, etc. I'm reading it for the second time. Even if you're lucky enough not to have had a bout of depression, you can learn a great deal from this book most likely ...so finely and clearly written.

It has been referenced but I think you are right that there is no specific thread devoted to it, so thank you for starting one.

I bought this book as well as Finding Peace, have to be honest I haven't read it yet! Be interested to hear if anyone had read both and to find out what they think?

I've read both and they complement each other wonderfully well. 'Mindful Way Through Depression; is a perfect book to read after 'Frantic World'.
These will both be included in the forthcoming books section which I'm making a start on right now, albeit slowly.

Yes, it's a great book. The title is a little unfortunate in that it makes quoting it just as a mindfulness resource a bit awkward because of the stigma or 'panic zone' associated with the word depression.

Through insightful lessons drawn from both Eastern meditative traditions and cognitive therapy, they demonstrate how to sidestep the mental habits that lead to despair, including rumination and self-blame, so you can face life's challenges with greater resilience. I love this book,...
