This book is by Doug Carnine and I will say this stuff really works. Wow. The combination of kindness with mindfulness is particularly effective for me. You can find it on Amazon and Carnine's FeedKindness website.

I've read a few reviews of the book and, oddly, there's no mention of meditation practice. Is Carnine's approach meditation-based?
As for the combination of mindfulness and kindness, this is nothing new. All reputable mindfulness teachers emphasise that mindfulness and compassion are two sides of the same coin.
Thanks,
Jon

Carnine's approach is meditation based.

Jon, I'd like to ask you a clarification question. Is your approach more compassion based as when we have feelings of compassion towards others, or is it action based like when we do something kind for others, or perhaps it is both?

I've been to your website and map and see that you are based on the coast, directly south on London. Nice to meet you.

Jon, I 'd like to add you to our site that supports our common theme. Here is where I'd like to add you (I still can't post URLs, so you'll have to copy and paste this into your browser and add www dot to the beginning:

mindfulkindness.community/index.php?threads/internet-links.41/

Would that be ok? If you have any special wording or a certain page you'd like referenced, let me know.

Hi Joe.
'Is your approach more compassion based as when we have feelings of compassion towards others, or is it action based like when we do something kind for others, or perhaps it is both?'

It is both. There's a strong element of loving-kindness in it. Compassion and self-compassion are intrinsic to mindfulness.
Without meditation, there is no mindfulness. It is all in the practice.
All best,
Jon

Great news. I thought we might be working on very similar themes, just on different continents. Can we offer to reference your website on our discussion forum under 'Resources/InternetLinks'? We'd be happy to list your site.
