Hi all,
I'm new to the forum, I run http://www.freemindfulness.org which hosts free mindfulness resources such as audio downloads. All of the downloads are free to copy and distribute, the site is privately funded and is not monetized in any way. If you've not seen the site feel free to check it out, feedback is always welcome. We get around 6000 hits a month at the moment and that number has been steadily growing, which I think is testament to how many people are getting into mindfulness!
I've linked through to this forum from the site - I think a good forum has been needed for a while, so it's great to see a community developing here.
I'm in the final months of finishing off a doctorate/thesis (in mindfulness ) so I might not be that active here in the short term, but I hope I can get involved and support the forum as time goes on.

Welcome to the community Peter and thank you so much for sharing your site with us.
I love those pictures so much and am looking forward to going and having a good read and look at the other resources you have there.
A very good friend of mine completed her PhD last year, it was a stressful and very busy time for her. I hope mindfulness is helping you

Thanks Fee,
Over time the site will continue to grow, there are lots of potential ideas for expansion and I'm always open to suggestions and collaborations.
Yes - My project is looking at the experiences of health care professionals attending mindfulness courses for stress reduction, so I'm never too far away from mindfulness when I'm working It's been interesting trying to use mindfulness throughout this process and it's certainly helping to keep me on track - I'm really interested in how mindfulness can help with coping with work stresses so I'm staying curious and exploring where mindfulness fits in to this final pressured part of the project.

Thank you for the link and the site! I am a 'collector' of free mindfulness audio, for myself and also my clients (I am a counselor and find it helpful to provide people with guided audio to help them try mindfulness). I will add your site to my list and check out the audio for myself too.

It is very nice to have this post. I read this and got too useful content.
Hello, guys, it is my pleasure to meet you! I enjoy this forum a lot and I am very happy that such topics start to connect people over the internet.
What I actually wanted to ask you - do you know any specific books for the beginners? Like, your favorite ones.
I am currently reading *The Power Of Now* Tolle and I think it is very motivating. But I don't want to stop so a peace of advice would be really appreciated.

Hi Hermit,
Welcome to the site. You could read 'a new earth' from Eckhart Tolle. Also a great book. But the Tolle books aren't mindfulness books.
We tend to recommend 'Finding Peace in a Frantic World: Mindfulness' to 'beginners'.
Good luck
Peter
