After a full day of mindfulness (12 hours of meditation and 2 hours of mindful movements), I've noticed a lucidity to my mental performance, with so much more clarity and considerably less mental fog. Distractions have diminished capacity to pull my attention away from an object of focus. Concentration is remarkably effortless. It has become easier to comprehend new insights as they arise, and at the same time, to watch neutrally as they subside.

As mentioned by the OP, I've found that after mindfulness of this scope and magnitude, I'm able to work more intelligently.

Mindful eating and mindful "elimination" are not excluded. :D
