Hello

Please post your mindfulness stories here and your story might also feature on our blog (with your permission). You can also introduce yourself here. We want to create a library of mindful journeys and experiences.

Hello,

I joined the forum a while ago but it has taken be a bit of time to get around to reading and posting, but it's high time that I jumped in.

I came to mindfulness last summer as a way of coping with the transition into a new job which I really wasn't enjoying. I was working through the eight week plan in Mindfulness: Finding Peace in a Frantic World and it really helped me to get through what was quite a difficult period. After finding another job where I am a lot happier, I let the practice slip a little and am now embarking on the eight week course afresh.

As of writing this, I'm just one meditation in, but it's already helping me to feel calmer again. I'm looking forward to getting into the rest of the course now and maybe starting on some other books too.

Hello and welcome to our community :)
“Being mindful means that we take in the present moment as it is rather than as we would like it to be.”
