Re: Body forgetting to breath, not nice and quite odd..

I sort of get this now and then, sometimes it feels I'm focusing so much on sounds and thoughts that I notice I'm not breathing properly. I also noticed after shavasna in yoga I was breathing shallow and fast. I'm not sure if its being very mindful but I know to be conscious of my breath and sometim...

Re: What Is Your Motivation?

My motivation is just to be more accepting of life and enjoy it as it is. I also worry about the what ifs too much so I hope it will reduce that. When it worry is really bad I suffer anxiety and when the anxiety is bad I get depressed. It would be good if building awareness I could stop the spiral o...

Re: tingling during meditation

Yes I agree I should just welcome it and its quite nice.

I was thinking maybe I was hiding from my true feelings by experiencing it but I shall just explore it :-)

tingling during meditation

Hello, Does anyone else experience a tingling when meditating? It remind me of when I have done visualisation of light meditations. But I'm now getting this during mindfulness, mainly when scanning my body. So instead of observing how I feel I'm finding myself creating this feeling. Its not unpleasa...

Re: Stuck on week 5

Hi Stavros, I am/was exactly the same as you, I found following the book hard. During my CBT my therapist thought mindfulness was the best thing for me, and I've been quite lucky in getting referred to an NHS 8 week course. Even though this is secondary care they made an exception. You should see if...

Re: Yoga

I do Forrest Yoga, I think its based on Hatha Yoga developed by Ana Forrest. I enjoy it and try to be mindful when doing it. I do always feel better after it. It's probably the longest form of mindfulness I do. And the breathing is great too. Only been doing it a couple of months I can already see m...

Re: lost my way a bit

Thank you for the replies, I think I was trying too hard. Now I'm just letting it be, doing something everyday without worrying about how much or the type of meditation. Its most just 8 min breath and body. And I do yoga 2 - 3 times a week. I try and do that as mindful as possible. I do really enjoy...

lost my way a bit

Hi, Just looking for a bit of support, I've really struggled the last couple of weeks of the 8 week programme. I was up to week 5 but then life got busy so I found it hard to follow the course. I have done some sort of meditation every day even if its been just the breathing space. However I'm getti...

Re: FPIAFW - Week 5: Turning Towards Difficulties

The more I go through these weeks the more I notice that mindfulness is like CBT and ACT but with a much better way of doing it. I have been battling with anxiety for about 8 months or so now and although I feel a lot better I still feel generally anxious and sad. My biggest problem is I have been t...
