When you get panicky you can try to focus on the rhythm of your breathing, feeling your abdomen expand and contract and the air going into and out of your nose. Hi, I think that when you're quite new to mindfulness this noticing can feel as if it gets in the way as it does tend to show up as a chatter. So when this chatter starts you could try to just focus on your breathing, so you are noticing things without actually verbalising. Good luck!
