Re: Mindfulness Experience

We did a couple of different practices, each one lasting abut 15 min., then had a break, then another one. So four practices in the morning session (2 per hour), 4 in the afternoon. And for me personally it was to long, for which I decided not to meditate formally today, just went for a mindful walk...

Re: Mindfulness Experience

The majority of the class attendants were quite positive in the feedback round after the course; I did like it as well, especially the silence, you realize how much inner commentary goes on. And also it's basically the end to the course, so that everybody has had a good idea what mindfulness is abou...

Mindfulness Experience

Hey guys! Currently, I am doing the 8-weeks-course in Germany. As it is here (I'm not sure how it's in the UK), each course includes a day of mindfulness, where you meditate 5 hours on one given day, with breaks, but silence. Yesterday, I was participating in that day. At the beginning of the day, I...

Re: Mindfulness and Letting go

Hey guys,

just a quick question. I would like to visit a MBCT course in my home country, but they only offer an MBSR course...does that make any big difference?

Greetings from Germany,

Fabian

Re: Coffee and mindfulness meditation

Today, when I was coming from work, I didn't really feel like meditating formally, so I made a hot chocolate (it's freezing cold in Germany!) and tried to be really mindful when drinking it. It was really interesting to see all the different shapes, colors and changes in the hot chocolate after each...

Re: Living mindfully

Good question, the answers will be interesting. Each time I take a break for the restroom I use it as a prompt to reconnect with my body by doing three deep sighs, I do a quick (say three minutes) scan of my body or I'll observe whats happening in my mind, see how it's manifesting in my body and wh...

Re: Beginning

It's really interesting to read a book again after some time having practiced and expanded your knowledge in that particular area. At least that's how I felt this summer when I read the Frantic Peace book again, I could relate much better to the content and everything! Helped me a lot in manifesting...

Re: Mindfulness and Letting go

Thanks, John! Yep, it is a better word for it, Gareth, as far as feelings are concerned. I think I expressed myself a bit unclear, I mean with "letting go" to let go the effort to try to control your life or to let go the illusion that you are able to control your life. Of course, we do ca...

Mindfulness and Letting go

Hello! In very recent times it became ever so clear for me that I'm trying to employ control over certain areas of my life, and I'm not able to let go really. I really would be interested in reading a book where the art of letting go is connected with mindfulness, so to read about how mindfulness ca...
