Re: Why is it that people stop meditating?

Meditation is not about having a blissful time on the mat/bench/cushion. It's about being with what is in the present moment. This is so true. I think every meditation experience is different. When I first tried meditating I thought I was doing it wrong and that I had to achieve a quiet mind. I did...

Re: Really hoping you can help!....

Would mindfulness help me to learn to sleep through the vibration of my bed? Or help me get back to sleep? ...Part of the problem is that I get angry with it as it is every single morning. Hi Amethyst It is unlikely that mindfulness will help you sleep, but it may help with dealing with your feelin...

Re: A quote

Firstly, thank you Jon for sending me your document.

Secondly, thank you Gareth for sharing the quote about listening. It is spot on. Being a good listener is quite an art - one that I am working on!

That's wonderful Mybubble.

Re: The monster

Thanks for sharing the poem. It is very apt. Funnily enough, I taught one of my children about mindfulness by explaining that anger is like a monster inside of him that grows when you feed it angry thoughts. It is wonderful that you stuck with your mindful practice and have benefited from it :) Vicky
